There is no "visual clarity" to begin with and taking or limiting the use of the turtle mount will not change that. Let people have their fun with their mount. I for one love watching those turtles around. It is way better than having floating orbs, or rainbows coming out of every character.

there's plenty of accomplishment to be felt, doesn't mean that the turtle should be hidden behind a strike mission. as for trying to incentivize people to try strikes out, that's likely the reason but it was a poor decision considering the majority of gw2 players are casuals who don't like instanced content that requires optimized builds because the majority of their gameplay doesn't require

Mobile Turtle siege with supply as ammo has been floating around the forums when Anet first talked about it and could be a nice addition to the game mode. I would prefer it like a "siege engine" rather than a "means of faster running" for two people at once.

maybe has like a slight waddle to his walk and bobs up and down the stomp make the turtle go upside down - King frog turtle mount -visually the saddle the player sits in is a giant crown and as you stomp it could be a swamp animation wave like in the original battle. would be cool if you could incorporate a tongue animation

It can just add variety. Siege turtle, skiffs, fishing - they add depth and flavor to an already robust game. We already have fast land mounts, flying, etc. and these give us more niche options. Tank a champion in open world PvE, do an escort event, take your newbie partner to new zones, the siege turtle has its uses and that's really good. I think mounts in general are ok, but the mount engage skills are what ruins it. When five level 80 players raptor leap onto a spawned a second ago pack at an event in Queensdale and destroy it before the poor newbies even know where to look, that's a problem.
