If anyone is facing this issue with Fossil Gen 5 SmartWatch here is my experience - whenever this happens to my Fossil SmartWatch I have 2 methods to correct it: 1) force stopping the Dexcom G6 app in my phone app settings and starting the app again. 2) resetting the watch. Just my own experience!
I got it installed, no errors or prompts doing so and touching the backup section of the Wearable app takes me to Smart Switch, but it's been like 18 hours and still no backups. I've even seen a Smart Switch notification pop up with a progress bar of syncing data from watch, but no backups are listed in the Galaxy Wearable app. Launching Smart

Samsung had removed the ability to manually back up your watch. All you can do currently is set it to automatically back up. This is also the case for those who are in the watch beta. Not sure how often an automatic backup is supposed to happen, potentially every 24 hours of both items have enough charge. 2 Likes.
